Kosta Browne - Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018 (750ml)
Kosta Browne - Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018 (750ml)
Founded in 1997, Kosta Browne is one of North America’s most revered wineries, recognized for making some of the world’s finest Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Located in Sebastopol, Sonoma County, and guided by an acclaimed team that includes renowned Winemaker Julien Howsepian, Kosta Browne makes appellation and single-vineyard wines from the most coveted cool-climate vineyards across the Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, Anderson Valley, Sta. Rita Hills and Santa Lucia Highlands appellations. In addition to partnering with the finest growers in California, Kosta Browne has an estate program that features 170 acres of vineyards through ownership or long-term leases that includes the Cerise Vineyard in Anderson Valley, Keefer Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, and a prized section of the Gap’s Crown Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. Kosta Browne has earned a place on Wine Spectator’s annual list of the world’s “Top 100 Wines” seven times since 2005, including “Wine of the Year” in 2011.
Established in 1997, Garys’ Vineyard is a partnership between the acclaimed Franscioni and Pisoni winegrowing families. Though located just a couple of miles south of Rosella’s Vineyard, Garys’ yields its own profoundly unique expression of Pinot Noir. Like the two Garys’ who founded it, this luxurious wine is larger than life. Crafted from the Pisoni clone and clone 23, with 18% whole cluster used during fermentation, it is an epic Pinot, with savory undertones, and seductive flavors of brambly blackberry, dark cherry, honeysuckle and hints of dark chocolate, sage, and lavender
Nose: Classic with enticing blackberry bramble and honeysuckle tinged with hints of dark chocolate, sage, and lavender. Mouth: Savory and seductive with a moving richness, deep texture and an everlasting finish

Garys’ Vineyard was planted in 1997 and named for Gary Franscioni and Gary Pisoni, two of the most celebrated winegrowers in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Fermented in 49% stainless steel, 39% concrete, and 12% wood and then aged in French and Austrian oak for 16 months, this nuanced red shows the pedigree of its coveted source on the palate. Mocha, wild strawberry, sweet meats, and chaparral engage with a “big boy” mouthfeel. A stony, forestfloor keenness on the finish completes the experience

Dark cherry, sweet sage, light cardamom cream and a steely minerality are expertly integrated on the nose of this bottling from an iconic vineyard. It’s a hearty wine on the palate, loaded with both roasted cherry and taut raspberry, but it’s the array of chaparral herbs, from wild thyme to juniper and bay leaf, that provide the most intrigue.

I loved the 2018 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard, a layered, complex, medium-bodied Pinot Noir offering ample wild strawberry and cherry fruits as well as notes of spice, loamy earth, and assorted meaty, spicy nuances. Beautifully textured, round, and expansive, it has wonderful tannins, terrific balance, and a great finish. It's another complex, balanced, impeccably made Pinot Noir from this team.
94James Suckling
Sweet and slightly spicy red and black fruit on the nose with notes of red licorice and dried herbs as well. Full-bodied with well-integrated tannins. The palate is fruity and zippy with citrus-like acidity. Smooth and supple. Drink or hold.

This is rich and fruit-forward, with Thanksgiving scents of potpourri. The wine’s mouth-filling plum richness will stand up to barbecue. —

Shipping fees are not refundable under any circumstances.
There is an additional charge to re-route orders already in transit.
Some items are removed from original packaging, and placed in protective shipping containers to ensure safe delivery.
While most orders are shipped the day they are placed. The demand for limited supplies will occasionally deplete our stock of a paticular product, in this case it will generally take an additional 1 - 2 business days to receive the product and fufill the order.
Although it is rare, if there was a packing error, we would like to resolve it for you! In the event that we shipped an incorrect item, we may ask you to hold on to those items and the exsisting packaging so that we can arrange for a return pick up. If you find that items are missing from your order, we are happy to assist you in reshipping the missing items or processing a credit for the missing item/items. Occasionally a chosen vintage of a wine may sell out or be replaced by a new release after your order is placed. Bottles of wine that are under $20, will not hold up an order and we will simply automatically substitute the wine with the comparable vintage. Please be assured that we will only substitute with a vintage for the same wine. Wine that is valued more than $20 per bottle, we will attempt to contact the customer. After two attempts, the available vintage will be automatically shipped out. (The return policy of $15 return shipping costs, and 15% restocking fee will be enforced.)
Yiannis Wine will not be held liable for damages to orders due to weather conditions during shipping. Potential exposure to extreme heat or cold may damage items during shipping. As we can not be held responsible for products damaged due to weather, we suggest you choose FedEx Express to ship your items and/or add ice packs to your order (during extreme heat) to help prevent damages. We can also place your orders on weather hold until weather conditions improve. Wine is usually fine if it is exposed to some heat (as that is the way wine is made.....Heated so the yeast is activated). If your wine is warm, please place them in a cool, dark room so the wine can "settle."
Most returns will be accepted, but ALL bottles must be returned to get credit. A half bottle or empty bottle of something that did not taste GOOD is fine to return, but the customer will not receive full credit if the bottle is not included.
Sometimes an order is returned to our warehouse after several delivery attempts at the address provided by the customer. We are happy to reship the order however, reshipment fees will apply. Please contact us and we will assist you with the reshipment arrangements.
We are happy to assist with any returns for items purchased that you no longer want or need. Please let us know and we will arrange for the return and issue a credit or refund for your returned items, less the return shipping and handling charges.
